About Me
Hi, I’m Carlee! I'm a master's-level intern from Northwestern University completing my clinical practicum and internship with The Pine Center.
I understand that starting therapy feels like a big step and I really hope I can support you through the process of beginning this mental health journey. I strive to develop and uphold a comfortable and inviting space for you, where you have no expectations or pressure for how you show up.
I obtained two bachelor degrees from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in
Psychology and Health and Medical Humanities, minoring in Biology. My studies enable me, as
an intern clinician, to combine my understandings of mental and physical health. I am currently
drawn to trauma-informed therapeutic models like EMDR and affirmative therapy for LQBTQIA+
Individuals and hope to become specialized in these areas in the near future. I enjoy working
with individuals who are navigating through life transitions, exploration of identity, and/or trauma.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy hobbies that make me feel creative, curious, and
connected! I love everything music related, this includes concerts, collecting vinyl/CDs, musical
theatre, and attempting to learn new instruments. I also enjoy painting, trivia, puzzle games,
video/board games, thrifting, and watching movies.
I am excited to have the opportunity to connect with you!
