The Pine Center was founded in 2022 by Kaci Pennington in Charlotte, NC, as a space for care that’s rooted, real, and unapologetically human.

Our name is inspired by the pineal gland, a small but powerful, part of the brain shaped like a pine cone. Known for its role in sleep, melatonin production, and nervous system regulation, it’s also been called the “third eye” in many spiritual traditions. That symbolism speaks to what we believe healing can be: a return to clarity, connection, and inner knowing, a bridge between the body, the mind, and the more-than-visible world.

At The Pine Center, we offer down-to-earth, identity-affirming therapy in a space where you don’t have to perform, explain, or hide. Whether you're exploring trauma, identity, chronic pain, or relationship patterns, you’ll be met with care that’s collaborative, consent-based, and always on your terms.
You decide what you share and when.
You decide how often you meet.
You decide the pace.

We might offer gentle invitations and nudges along the way, but we trust you as the expert of your own experience. Our role is to walk beside you, not ahead of you.

This is work that unfolds slowly, in relationship, and with deep respect for your autonomy. We're here to help you feel safe enough to stay with it, and to remind you: there’s nothing wrong with how you’ve survived.

The Pine Center offers holistic, trauma-informed therapy tailored to the whole of who you are, not just the parts that are hurting.
